August 15:
Are you missing Cut The Wires? How about Cut The Wire? Either way, check us out on the indienyc podcast #2, alongside the likes of Sam Champion & Man in Grey. Dive in and beat the heat. Or the rain, depending on the day.

June 18:
Are the rumors true? Find out this Tuesday at Sin-é you want to come see us play with the great band Group Sounds. We're on at 8:30 or 9 or thereabouts and you should definitely stick around for the set after ours. Seriously. If nothing else, you'll see 2 great sets for the low weekday price of whatever the club chooses to charge -- they're not telling us. Anyway, come out, enjoy, grill us all you want. See you there.

May 30:
We're still playing with Group Sounds on June 21st. Only it's been moved to Sin-e because of some weird vendetta, oddly enough not against Cut The Wires. Anyway, it'll be a great show, just on Attorney Street instead of Suffolk or Norfolk or wherever Rothko is.
Before that, though, we'd like to see you at Continental on 3rd Ave. Saturday night, the 4th. It's an important show, but we're also involved in the BrooklynBest2005 the following day, Sunday the 5th. This show will be a short set at Grand Army Plaza in Prospect Park. Nothing but a party. There will be more details as we get them, like who we're going to take the trophy from at the end of the day.
AND on Friday, June 17th, we'll be playing as part of the weekly NY Underbelly party at Crash Mansion. This always involves free admission and drinks and stuff and again, once we figure it all out, we'll pass on the savings. Until then, get ready for a big big June with CTW.

May 23:
In case you forgot we existed [and who could blame you?], we've still got a rare NYC appearance scheduled on Jun 21 with Group Sounds at Rothko. More to come.

Apr 30:
You deserve an explanation. Too bad there isn't one. The May 10th show at Rothko is cancelled. One day, we're going to play a show that is posted on this site. Promise.

Apr 18:
If you or someone you love owns a record store, and would like to carry the Cut The Wires EP, or any one of Collekt's stable of fine artists, then please contact our new distributor, Southern Records. Their operators will be happy to assist you. Won't you. Help us. Sell records. And. Become. Rich?

Apr 3:
Check it out: we'll be playing Rothko on May 10. This show is so new we don't even know who it's with yet, so check back soon to find out as quickly as we do.
Did we mention you can get the Cut The Wires EP on iTunes now? For $3.86 or some such off price. Or 99 cents a track, if you'd rather go that way. Cheapskate.

Mar. 30:
We've been selected to play at the CMJ/Rock Hall Festival in Cleveland, OH in June. There'll be details forthcoming, of course, but we'll likely be playing a few shows on the way, in Philly or Pittsburgh or something. On the off chance anyone in PA knows us, now's your chance to speak up and get us to come see you, cook us dinner, take us to a movie, or whatever you like. Anything except doing one of those Sugar Ray-style backyard barbecue things on VH1. Those are lame.
Also, Collekt has been picked up by Southern Records distro. That means Cut The Wires will soon be coming to a store near you. Along with Arecee and the rest of the Collekt catalog. Spiderman keeps climbing.

Mar. 9:
A to Z Music has decided to include "So Long So What" on their 2005 sampler CD. We'll be on there alongside a dozen or so other bands, helping A to Z do what they do and helping ourselves in the meantime. So everybody wins. If you can get your hands on one, you should; there are going to be some great tracks on this thing.

Mar. 7:
Two weeks of hauling gear all over NYC using only public transportation makes us feel like we've earned a break. So we're taking one.
We'll be back March 29th, though, playing with The AKAs at Rothko on Suffolk to help Team Troma celebrate the Toxic Avenger's 21st birthday. Not sure we understand it, either, but it will be a great party. Join us, please. Details Details here.
In early April we'll finally be throwing our CD release party at Sin-e. Even if you already have the record, come down and sing along. Check back here for dates, times, and the ever-elusive headliner.
Later in April we'll be headed to Boston to play a set with Arecee and Leslie & The Lys at PA Lounge. Road trip anyone?

Feb 24:
We're going to be playing yet another NYC show on Saturday, March 5. That's next Saturday, kids, at Sin-e. 10 pm, too, the perfect band-watching time. This is one we need all the people to come out for, so make your plans accordingly. Hope to see you there.

Feb 23:
Thanks to all who made it out to the Mercury Lounge show on Monday. If you scroll waaay down on Wednesday's entry, you'll see where Goodtimesroll said we were "actually quite good." So there.
Though anyone who can explain what "asking for a Culkin" means, Clay will give you a tenner.
Also, "Kittens!" has been added to the rotating jukebox on Jinners. You've heard the song, but go check it out anyway, give Jin some traffic. We want her to like us.

Feb 20:
The EP is/will soon be available in stores coast-to-coast [technically]! Go here to find out where. Then go pick it up.

Feb 10:
The news keeps coming: In honor of our 1st and 16th presidents' births, we'll be playing on February 21 at the Mercury Lounge with The Deathray Davies, Snowglobe & Say Hi To Your Mom. This will be an early set, 7 pm, but it's too cold to go to the beach on Presidents' Day, anyway.

Feb 9:
As of this morning, the Cut The Wires EP is the #25 Top Seller on Insound. Thanks, whomever you are.

Feb 6:
If you showed @ Continental on Friday, thanks...and sorry. The Union Pool show will go smoothly. Promise.
If you saw the once-in-a-lifetime performance of MonyMony, lucky you.
Here's a make-up gift: Check out the media page for a full version of "So Long, So What"
More photos soon...not all including Clay in the Heisman pose.
